About AnneKarin Glass
AnneKarin was born into an environment where originality and creativity were prized and rewarded. Her father, Henry P. Glass, is one of the icons of 20th century American industrial design. He was her most important teacher.
When she lost her father in 2003, she came to understand the value and the meaning of her own short time on this planet. She decided to work at art full time. She has participated in numerous juried exhibitions, including the Chicago Artists Exhibit at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Napa Mustard Festival. She has had solo exhibitions The Figure in Motion and Dance at the Winter Festival in Lencois, Bahia, Brazil and in Sauipe, Bahia, Brazil and in the U.S. She received Best of Show, Eye Candy at ArtworkSF and the Award of Merit in the Master Artist, Master Teacher Exhibition for figurative gestures in oil at the Tubac (AZ) Center of the Arts.
Her work is included in both corporate and private collections world wide, including St. Francis Memorial Hospital, the Canadian Embassy in Bangkok, and the collection of Leroi Moore (Dave Matthews Band). Her work has appeared internationally in books, posters and magazines and record jackets. She is a member of the Artists’ Guild of San Francisco and is represented in three California galleries.
